This Privacy Policy explains how Mementos: Goal Wallpaper ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Information We Collect

Mementos collects only the minimum data required to provide its service:

Goal data — your goal title, start date, and end date. This is stored locally on your device and, if you sign in, synced to your account via Convex (our backend provider).
Account information — if you create an account, we store your email address through Clerk (our authentication provider).
Purchase information — if you subscribe to Mementos Pro, your subscription status is managed by RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details.
Anonymous analytics — we use PostHog to collect anonymous usage events (e.g., "wallpaper updated", "style changed") to improve the app. No personally identifiable information is included.

2. How We Use Your Information

To display your goal progress on your wallpaper
To sync your goal data across devices (if signed in)
To manage your Pro subscription
To send daily reminder notifications (you can disable these in your device settings)
To improve app performance and features

3. Data Storage

Your goal data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. If you sign in, it is also synced to Convex cloud servers. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Clerk — authentication
Convex — cloud data sync
RevenueCat — subscription management
PostHog — anonymous analytics
Sentry — crash reporting

5. Notifications

With your permission, Mementos sends a daily reminder notification to prompt you to update your wallpaper. You can revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Mementos is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Goal data stored locally can be removed by uninstalling the app.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
